As a fundraising item, I designed a set of wine labels for Seattle Humane Society. The goal was to create something artistic for a table setting, while also reflecting the values of this nonprofit animal welfare organization.

The wines shown can be purchased by calling Northwest Cellars at (425) 825-9463 (Be sure to specify Tail Waggin’ Red or Whiskers White for Seattle Humane). A portion of proceeds benefit the animals at Seattle Humane.

I recently branded Seattle Humane Society’s Vet Tips with Dr. Brad. KOMO Newsradio features a weekly veterinary tip by the animal shelter’s Medical Director, Dr. Brad Crauer. In addition, Dr. Brad answers questions at various shelter events. The goal was to identify the clips with Seattle Humane while establishing a friendly and approachable appeal.

I recently began volunteering at my local American Red Cross chapter. Below is an ad I designed, which will be printed in Northwest Asian Weekly.

Program for TAPPA 2011

I recently completed another project for my client: University of Houston. Last year I developed a branding scheme for the upcoming conference they are hosting for TAPPA. Adding to that scheme, I designed the conference program with speaker descriptions, adding photos and other key information.

To make the information organized and accessible, I designed a series of visual cues and sections, such as the colored “tabs” and variations in color schemes. The overall look and feel is geared towards TAPPA attendees — engineers, architects, and other building/maintenance related employees.

Annual Report design for PSR

As a non-profit, Physicians for Social Responsibility requested my help to design their 2009 annual report using the on-hand casual photographs to enhance their data. I clipped out the backgrounds of many of these to emphasize the faces behind PSR’s important work, along with other needed photo edits. By adding some photography, a vibrant earthy color scheme, and illustrative elements, the result is a professional, clean look that reflects the healthy world PSR strives for us to live in.

Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) is a non-profit advocacy organization that is the medical and public health voice for policies to prevent nuclear war and proliferation and to slow, stop and reverse global warming and toxic degradation of the environment.

Identity for Seattle Rowing Center

I recently designed the identity for Seattle Rowing Center, a new training facility for rowers age 9-25. The logo and coordinating icon allows for adaptability for both large and small spaces in print and on the web.

Below are the logo, icon, and application graphic samples for the center based in Seattle, WA.

Rowing is all about efficiency, power, and grace all rapped up in a 2 second stroke repeated over and over again for 2K. For the recreational minded it’s about being on the water … and [the] rhythm of the ship canal that so define Seattle.
